Lakota Wings Service Unit is made up of Girl and Adult Scouts in Liberty Township and West Chester. We do experience some overlap with our Sister Unit, Woodland Mounds.
The purpose of the service unit is to provide girls with access to the Girl Scout program through the development and support of troops, troop leaders, and beyond-the-troop activities. Service units provide this support by organizing troops, providing program and training resources, and recruiting adult volunteers to work with girls in carrying out the Girl Scout program.
Your Service Team is working very hard to provide the best Girl Scout experience for all girls and adults. It takes many hands to make this work. If you see an Open Position or a Committee you'd like to know more about, please do not hesitate to ask the person listed, or the Service Unit Chair, for more information!
Leader Meetings are on the 1st Thursday of the month (with a few exceptions), 7:00 - 8:30 pm, at Union Elementary (on Lesourdsville-WC Road). These meetings are designed for Enrichment Presentations and Activities to benefit you as a Volunteer. The meetings are open to ALL registered adult volunteers, not just Leaders! If you as a Leader cannot make the meeting, you are welcome to send a representative in your place to bring information back to your troop.
